Husband and I took a VERY quick trip to New York last weekend. And by quick I mean less than 24 hours!! We decided last minute that this would be our Christmas presents to each other. We had such a good time and packed so much into that 24 hour period.
Right when we landed we hit the ground running. We went to lunch, checked in our hotel and went to the World Trade Center Memorial. We walked along 5th Avenue into Rockefeller Plaza to see the big tree and all the people ice-skating. We met my cousin for dinner and then headed up to the Top of The Rock. Man you don’t realize you’re kind of afraid of heights, until it’s so dark and windy that can’t see the ground.
The next morning we went to the Today Show (one of my bucket list items, but it wasn’t the big experience that it normally is throughout the week). Then headed to Time Square for some pictures and left. We had lots of coffee and walked everywhere! I mean my bones still hurt from all the walking.
It was Chad’s first time in the city and I hadn’t been since high school! We are hoping to go back for a longer visit but it was so nice to be in the city around Christmas. It actually started snowing right when we landed and were driving over the Brooklyn Bridge!! I love this kind of weather so it was the perfect weekend visit!!
